This elegant bed & breakfast home is perfect for that quiet getaway or a special occasion. Take in the picturesque Victorian Nevada City neighborhood from our spacious front porch.
From the Parsonage Bed & Breakfast convenient location, explore on foot Nevada City's Historic District shops, galleries and museums. Choose from local hikes and walks, gold mine tours, special events like Victorian Christmas or Constitution Day, live theater, and excellent restaurants. Nevada City is also known as a photographer's paradise with spectacular spring and fall colors and stately Victorian homes.
At the top of the hill, on Broad Street, sits
a little blue house which was built in 1865 and for over 80
years was the home of the Methodist minister for Nevada City.
In 1986 the home underwent its first major renovation to begin
its new life as a Bed & Breakfast Inn. This home sits in
the middle of California History, where the story of thousands
who pursued elusive wealth in the gold mines and river beds
of the Sierra Nevada foothills came to live. Today, the home
has gone through a second renovation, each room has been completely
redone. Susan Shea has made a special effort to retain the original
look of the Victorian era, right down to the very correct raised
wall paper and furniture in each room.
